Testimonials
"I am offering a recommendation for Stephanie Gertler in her role providing professional coaching services to me since June 2007 (investigating options for a second career).
What I have appreciated the most about Stephanie's help is the combined gift of her thoughtful, articulate and, above all, her extraordinarily compassionate approach to me and my goals.
She is able to fuse the essential elements of the structure of her profession's teachings with the flexibility and maturity of an extraordinarily seasoned mind. This, plus her limitless enthusiasm for her mission, allows her to incorporate immediate and precise course corrections born from the evolving nature of personal discovery, avoiding unnecessary frustration by quickly but gently propelling me through my trepidation into the simple, beneficial "realm of the necessary" (my words).
As a psychiatrist trained to follow pathology more than personal strengths, I cannot stress enough the refreshing and optimistic nature of Stephanie's inspiring and creative coaching techniques. She has enabled me to literally turn my personal approach to problem-solving "on its ear."
I offer my recommendation to you without reservation, and hope that it will encourage you to utilize Stephanie's professional services in your personal or corporate arena at any time in the future."

"One of the main things that I benefited from in Stephanie's life coaching was that there was going to be a beginning and end to it. I've been in therapy for a long timefor different reasonsand I've always felt, but couldn't articulate, that it just went on for too long without a purpose. Originally there was a purpose, but when that got dealt with it, it just continued without purpose and without invested energy on my part. I realized this as Stephanie and I were working together and creating such momentum. Even though different things popped up during our sessions, and we may have gone in different directions here and there, it was all connected for me (by her) to serve the initial issue or goal.
Having our sessions on the phone was very good for me and helped me focus. Trying to find a quiet place in my own space was a good lesson for me. Not always achieved, but always a goal that I am still aware of today.
One of the most important and valuable lessons that I learned, or came to realize, was that I was never going to have a "normal" day or week, and that I would have to build-in what it was that I was craving to be "normal". We figured out together what normal was for me, and that it was really about having control or feeling in control of my day-to-day life with the things and junk around me, and also with the people around me. In fact, recently Stephanie asked, "What are you doing with the business you're starting?" My first thought was to give her a list of things that had to be done before I could get to that point. My second thought was I should just pick a day and start, and if I need help and run into a problem I'll go from there. So, thanks Stephanie."

"My coaching experience with Stephanie has helped me tremendously in tackling my life-long battle with "thinking too much". When we first began, it seemed like she knew me better than I knew myselfpicking up on things I hadn't even mentioned yet. Stephanie provided me with wisdom and guidance, but more importantly, the tools to manage my feelingsand that, to me,
is invaluable."
